Asbestos and Asbestos containing materials Removal Process<\/h2><div class='av-subheading av-subheading_below'><hr style=\"width: 70px; border: 1px solid #156133;\" \/>\n<\/div><div class=\"special-heading-border\"><div class=\"special-heading-inner-border\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-m9ij7ozj-f9579df57d118cc17712999819279439 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3 id=\"investigation\">Investigation of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials<\/h3>\n<p>In order to <strong>check for the presence of possible asbestos materials<\/strong>, a site investigation should be carried out, consisting of the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Sampling of potential asbestos materials<\/strong> by certified personnel<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analysis of samples<\/strong> by appropriately certified laboratories.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preparation of a Technical Report of Results<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"approval\">Issuance of Environmental Work Approval<\/h3>\n<p>According to the Joint Ministerial Decision 8243\/1113\/1991 (Government Gazette 138\/B\/8-3-1991), fo<strong>r the removal of asbestos-containing materials, the issuance of the Environmental Work Approval by the competent Environmental Department of the Regional Unit where the project belongs is mandatory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the issuance of the Work Approval, an Action Plan (Technical Description of Work) is prepared and sent for approval.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"works\">Asbestos Removal Works<\/h3>\n<p>After the issuance of the Work Approval by the competent Environmental Department, the removal works follow as briefly listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The department of work inspection in charge and the Regional Union are informed.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>removal of asbestos materials is carried out<\/strong> in accordance with the applicable legislation and international guidelines\/practices.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>asbestos waste is packed in appropriate packaging and transported for storage<\/strong> at the licensed facility of Intergeo Hellas in Thermi Thessaloniki.<\/li>\n<li>After the <strong>waste and asbestos removal<\/strong> areas are cleaned and decontaminated.<\/li>\n<li>For the issuance of Asbestos Purity Certificates, air measurements are carried out by a laboratory accredited according to ELOT EN ISO 17025:2005 by the ESYD.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>packaged waste is transported to a licensed landfill site abroad<\/strong> (transboundary transport), where the corresponding Certificate of Disposal is issued.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-m9ijabd0-e35d84efbc4613db4514f9f7ab910cf6\">\n#top .av-special-heading.av-m9ijabd0-e35d84efbc4613db4514f9f7ab910cf6{\npadding-bottom:10px;\n}\nbody .av-special-heading.av-m9ijabd0-e35d84efbc4613db4514f9f7ab910cf6 .av-special-heading-tag .heading-char{\nfont-size:25px;\n}\n.av-special-heading.av-m9ijabd0-e35d84efbc4613db4514f9f7ab910cf6 .av-subheading{\nfont-size:15px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  id=\"offer\"  class='av-special-heading av-m9ijabd0-e35d84efbc4613db4514f9f7ab910cf6 av-special-heading-h2 blockquote modern-quote  avia-builder-el-7  el_after_av_two_third  el_before_av_textblock '><h2 class='av-special-heading-tag'  itemprop=\"headline\"  >OFFER INQUIRY<\/h2><div class='av-subheading av-subheading_below'><hr style=\"width: 70px;
