Health & Safety Engineer

The company is active in the field of geo-environmental studies and projects, with particular specialization in the remediation of contaminated soils and groundwater and in the management of hazardous waste.
We are currently seeking to recruit:
Health & Safety Engineer
Full-time position for our facilities at the Industrial Area of Thermi (Thessaloniki).
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect the safety of facilities and technical equipment and propose improvement measures.
- Supervise the implementation of occupational health and safety measures and accident prevention procedures and prepare relevant reports.
- Prepare Risk Assessment Studies (Occupational Risk Assessment), Health & Safety Plans (HSP), and Safety & Health Files (SHF).
- Conduct regular inspections of workstations from a health and safety perspective and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the investigation of workplace accidents, analyze findings, and propose preventive measures.
- Coordinate and supervise fire safety and emergency drills to assess accident preparedness.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety rules and provide guidance to prevent occupational risks.
- Organize and implement employee training programs on occupational health and safety.
- Maintain business confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with national legislation, codes of practice, and internal health and safety standards.
- Ensure the proper operation and safety of machinery and safety equipment.
- Work closely with the Company Safety Officer on the above matters.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree (Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer).
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Eligibility to perform the duties of a Safety Officer in accordance with Greek legislation.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation (Law 3850/2010).
- Ability to prepare Written Occupational Risk Assessments.
- Good computer skills (MS Office).
- High sense of responsibility and strong organizational skills.
